Yvonne Kok obtained her singing degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she studied with Valérie Guillorit and Sasja Hunnego.
Yvonne has participated in masterclasses with and has had extra singing lessons from Bernarda Fink, Nelly Miricioiu, William Matteuzzi, Emma Kirkby, David Wilson-Johnsson, Jard van Nes, Margreet Honig, Udo Reinemann, Geert Smits, Claron McFadden, Pierre Mak and Maarten Koningsberger.
At the moment Yvonne is being coached by Ira Siff.
As a soloist Yvonne has sung in various oratoria and cantatas such as the Matthew Passion and St. John's Passion (Bach), the 'Krönungsmesse' (Mozart), Vivaldi's Gloria and Magnificat, the 9th symfony (Beethoven), Bruckner's F minor Mass, Requiem Duruflé and the Stabat Mater of Pergolesi. She cooperated with a.o. 'Het Gelders Orkest', 'Sinfonia Rotterdam' en 'The State Philharmonic Orchestra of Sibiu' (romania).
Yvonne performed the role of Marcellina in an edited version of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro within the Resident Artists Programme from the 'Nederlandse Reisopera'. In January 2010 she performed the role of Mrs. Herring in Britten's Albert Herring at 'Dutch National Opera Academy'. During the festival 'Opera aan Zee' Yvonne performed several times: Bastien in Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne (2009), Ruggiero in scenes of Alcina by Händel (2010) and Olga in scenes of Onegin by Tchaikovsky (2011).
Yvonne regularly works on and performs Lied repertoire with various pianists. With Frans van Ruth she performed songs from dutch composers, among which Diepenbrock, Piet Ketting and Matthijs Vermeulen. Yvonne gave recitals in a.o. the Concertgebouw and Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. In July 2009 Yvonne was selected to take part in the Franz-Schubert-Institut in Baden (Austria), where she worked with Rudolf Jansen, Robert Holl, Helmut Deutsch, Julius Drake, Edith Wiens, Walter Moore, Wolfram Rieger and others.
Yvonne is also a freelance-member of the choir of the Dutch National Opera.
